Identity and molecular design
Cagrilintide is a long-acting, lipidated amylin analogue. Kruse et al. (2021) describe its development and structure–activity work. Its amylin-family pharmacology differs from the GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor activity of retatrutide.
Primary clinical research as background
Lau et al. (2021) conducted a phase 2 trial of cagrilintide in adults with overweight or obesity, with placebo and liraglutide comparators. This study examined cagrilintide itself; it was not a trial of a retatrutide–cagrilintide blend.
Enebo et al. (2021) separately investigated cagrilintide together with semaglutide in a phase 1b study. That combination is chemically different from retatrutide plus cagrilintide. Clinical findings are included to identify the evidence, without transferring them to a catalog preparation or providing an administration protocol.
Prepared blend interpretation
The GLP3 + Cagrilintide labels specify retatrutide 10 mg plus cagrilintide 2 mg for the 12 mg product, and retatrutide 20 mg plus cagrilintide 4 mg for the 24 mg product. This article addresses the cagrilintide component. Neither cited clinical study establishes the identity, stability, safety or efficacy of those blends.
