Personal protective equipment
Standard laboratory PPE — safety glasses, gloves, and a lab coat — is required when handling any peptide research material. Follow your institution's specific SOPs for higher-hazard reagents (e.g., bacteriostatic water in specific contexts).
Chain of custody
Maintain records that link each vial to its COA and to the experiments that consumed it. This traceability is essential for reproducibility and for investigating any anomalous results.
Disposal
Dispose of unused material, contaminated consumables, and sharps in accordance with institutional biosafety and chemical waste procedures. Do not dispose of peptides in general trash or down a drain.
