Lyophilized (powder) form
Lyophilized peptides are most stable when stored dry, protected from light, at −20 °C or colder. Short excursions to 4 °C for weighing are generally acceptable but should be minimized. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.
Reconstituted (solution) form
Once a peptide is in solution it is far less stable than in the dry form. Aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, store at −20 °C or colder for medium-term use, and consult the material's stability data for maximum recommended storage time.
General handling
Use appropriate PPE, work in a clean environment, and record lot numbers with every experiment for traceability back to the corresponding COA.
